Housing Okanagan Foundation - Non-Profit Housing Developer

Mission and Vision

Mission and Vision

Mission and Vision

The Housing Okanagan Foundation was founded with the mission to serve as an efficient and effective non-profit developer and operator of affordable rental housing that initially optimizes municipal, provincial, and federal project incentives and funding/financing sources. Our vision is to establish a portfolio of projects that, through its growth and evolution, becomes increasingly less dependent on government funding and financing sources and ultimately self sufficient.

Mission and Vision

With decades of experience in the real estate industry, our team of experts has the knowledge and skills to deliver affordable housing at scale. From concept to completion, we are committed to working with our community partners, municipalities, stakeholders and local neighbourhoods to bring much needed affordable housing to the Okanagan.

Our Impact

The goal of the Foundation is to grow our portfolio of homes that will ultimately allow for self sustaining scale. By putting more land back into the public’s hands, we will commit to long-term, multi-generational affordability. As mortgages are paid off, the depth and breadth of affordability increases, ensuring long term sustainable housing solutions for diverse communities.

Our Focus

Our Impact

Our Impact

Our focus is on delivering housing for low and moderate income households. Desired projects will also include housing for workers in specific local industries to support attracting and housing community needed workforce, including, but not limited to, hospital workers, teachers, and construction trade workers. Additionally, we will explore opportunities for independent living for inadequately housed populations, including seniors and single-parent-led households
